4) Some states require additional disclosures:
a.
Arizona: “It is unlawful to dispose of a motor vehicle battery or other lead acid battery in a landfill or any unauthorized site. Recycle all used batteries. This seller is required by law to accept used lead acid batteries. When any new lead acid battery is purchased, a refundable deposit will be charged unless a used battery is returned for refund within forty-five days." Ariz. Rev. Stat. § 44-1323(A).
b.
Arkansas: "It is illegal to discard a motor vehicle or marine battery; Recycle your used batteries; State law requires us to accept used lead-acid batteries for recycling, in exchange for new lead-acid batteries purchased; and when you purchase an new lead-acid battery, you will be charged an additional ten dollars (.00) unless you return a used lead-acid battery for refund within thirty (30) days." Ark. Code § 8-9-303.
c.
California: “This dealer is required by law to charge a nonrefundable California battery fee and a refundable deposit for each lead-acid battery purchased. A credit of the same amount as the refundable deposit will be issued if a used lead-acid battery is returned at the time of purchase or up to 45 days later along with this dealer’s receipt.” Cal. H.S.C. § 25215.2.(c).
d.
Georgia: "IT IS ILLEGAL TO PUT A MOTOR VEHICLE BATTERY IN THE GARBAGE. RECYCLE YOUR USED BATTERIES. STATE LAW REQUIRES US TO ACCEPT MOTOR VEHICLE BATTERIES FOR RECYCLING.” Ga. Code § 12-8-28(c) (2015).

Hawaii: “It is illegal to discard a motor vehicle battery or other lead acid battery; Recycle your used batteries; State law requires us to accept used motor vehicle batteries or other lead acid batteries for recycling, in exchange for new batteries purchased; and The price of a new battery includes disposal of your old battery.” Haw. Rev. Stat. § 342I-2(2)

Idaho: “It is unlawful to dispose of a motor vehicle battery or other lead acid battery in a landfill or any unauthorized site. Recycle all used batteries." Idaho Stat. § 39-7003.

Illinois: "DO NOT put motor vehicle batteries in the trash; Recycle your used batteries; and State law requires us to accept motor vehicle batteries for recycling, in exchange for new batteries purchased." 415 Ill. Comp. Stat. 5/22.23(a)(2).
h.
Indiana: "Improper disposal of batteries is against the law. It is illegal to put used motor vehicle batteries or other vehicle or boat batteries in the trash. Recycle your used batteries. State law requires us to accept your used battery for recycling if you purchase a new battery from us." IC § 13-20-16-1.

Louisiana: "It is illegal to discard a motor vehicle battery or other lead acid battery. Recycle your used batteries. State law requires us to accept used motor vehicle batteries or other lead acid batteries for recycling, in exchange for new batteries purchased." La. Rev. Stat. § 30:2420(A(2).

Maine: "State law requires us to accept motor vehicle batteries or other lead-acid batteries for recycling in exchange for new batteries purchased.
