The Newmar GI-50 Galvanic Isolator, 50 Amp slows the corrosion of sacrificial zinc in boat hulls, shafts, and props by blocking a large portion of the low voltage currents involved with electrolysis. The result is time and money saved on boat haul-outs and replacement zinc.

Install the GI-50 between the AC safety ground and the DC bonding system (please see Typical Wiring diagram below). All Newmar GI-50 Galvanic Isolator, 50 Amp units feature a large capacitor that provides a secondary low impedance path for sending AC currents to the ground for additional safety.
